Read Recall is a Chrome extension that helps users resume reading on web pages by saving page-specific reading context such as notes, selected text snippets, and scroll progress.
What Read Recall collects
Read Recall stores the following information locally on the user's device:
- page URL and page title
- a short note entered by the user
- the last selected text snippet on the page
- scroll position and scroll progress
- timestamps related to saved page context
How this information is used
This information is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: helping users return to a page and continue reading with their saved context.
Where data is stored
Read Recall stores data locally using Chrome extension storage on the user's browser. Read Recall does not require an account and does not sync data to an external server.
Data sharing and selling
Read Recall does not sell user data. Read Recall does not transfer user data to third parties except as required by law.
Remote code and external services
Read Recall does not execute remotely hosted code. All executable code is packaged within the extension.
User control
Users can clear saved page memory for the current page from the extension popup.
Children's privacy
Read Recall is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted at the same public URL.
